Assistant Service Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES  
- Support Service Manager in overseeing day-to-day departmental operation
- Create estimates and secure customer approval
- Write, edit and close repair orders
- Communicate with service team, customers, suppliers and affiliates to ensure timely and accurate completion of work
- Maintain a customer-focused approach by addressing inquiries, concerns and feedback in a professional and friendly manner
- Collaborate with service technicians, yard team and support staff to allocate resources effectively, manage workloads and meet service deadlines
- Participate in staff training and development initiatives to enhance technical skills and customer service abilities
- Become adept user of utilized software and computer platforms
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies, procedures and quality control measures
- Generate reports and maintain accurate records related to service appointments, maintenance tasks, and customer interactions
- Uphold positive and professional image of marina when interacting customers, suppliers and partners

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in marine technology, business management or related field is a plus
- Previous experience in marine service or related customer service role preferred
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using and willingness to learn computer software 
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and extended hours during peak seasons
- Love being in, on or near the water
