 |
We recently held our19th Annual Grady White Owners’ Fishing Tournament. Many Grady-White Boats from throughout Long Island joined in the competition, and many species of fish were weighed in.
Grady owners really got in the competitive spirit, showing off what their Grady’s could do. Eric Cannizzarro caught the overall largest fish with a 32.2 pound Bass. Other winners in the Men’s Division were as follows: Adam Smith caught an 8.2 pound Bluefish, Rich Boll won in the Porgy category with a 2.45 pound fish, and Tony Musumeci won for biggest Fluke with a 5.6 pound Fluke. The Women’s Division results were as follows: Kristen Cannizzarro won in the Porgy category with a 2.55 pound fish; Seva Mahramas won in the Bass category with a 23.9 pound Bass, and Marie Hiltinun caught a 4.5 pound Fluke to win in that category.
There were also some impressive catches in the Youth Division this year. Youth division winners included: Lukas Iacono, who caught the largest Bluefish, with a 6.4 pound fish; Rose Hall, who caught the largest Porgy, with a 2.05 pound fish; Morgan Iacono, who won in the Bass division with a 6.3 pound Bass, and Kyle Boll, who won for best Fluke with a 3.15 pound fish. The Most Unusual catches in the Tournament were caught by Brandon Quartarro, who caught a 2.4 pound Sting Ray; Matt Cafarella, who caught a 1.05 pound Skate; and Lukas Iacono, who caught a Spider Crab.
Once all the fish were accounted for, the tired anglers danced through the evening at the Tournament's award ceremony and party, which included a great goody bag, lots of lobster, and Captain's prizes.
