AREA ANGLERS CATCH FUN AND PRIZES AT PORT OF EGYPT MARINE'S
18TH ANNUAL GRADY WHITE OWNERS FISHING TOURNAMENT

August 25, 2008, Southold, NY - Southold-based Port of Egypt Marine, the oldest and most-awarded Grady-White Boat dealership in the country, recently held its 18th Annual Grady-White Owners' Fishing Tournament. Over 25 Grady-White Boats were in the competition and anglers weighed in many different species of fish. After the last fish hit the scales, a Grady-White Boat representative from North Carolina joined the group for a party of prizes, seafood and dancing.
Grady owners really got in the competitive spirit, showing off what their Grady's could do. Kevin Seiferth of Garden City caught the overall largest fish with a 32.15 pound Bass on his family's GW 330 Express. Other winners in the Men's Division were as follows: Eric Cannizarro of Cutchogue and New York caught a 9.95 pound Bluefish on his family's GW 330 Express, Dan Dougherty won in the Porgy category with a 1 pound fish caught the Seiferth family's GW 330 Express, and Andrew Durkin won for biggest Fluke with a 6.7 pound Fluke caught on the Shanks family's GW 330 Express. In the Women's Division, Shannon Mohr of Southold won in the Bluefish category with a 9 pound Bluefish caught on her family's GW 222 Fisherman. Kristen Cannizarro of Cutchogue won in the Porgy category with a 1.65 fish caught on her family's GW 330 Express; Kaitlin Seiferth of Garden City won in the Bass category with a 28.95 pound Bass caught on her family's 330 Express, and Marianna Catege of Fresh Meadows won in the Fluke category with a 3.15 pound Fluke caught on her family's GW 330 Express.
There were also many impressive catches in the Youth Division this year. Youth division winners included: Matthew Drinkwater of Greenport who won in the Bluefish division with a 6.75 pound Bluefish caught on his family's GW 306 Bimini. Courtney Seiferth of Garden City won for best Porgy with a 1.25 pound Porgy caught on her family's GW 330 Express. Yianni Catege of Fresh Meadows won in the Fluke category with a 4.25 pound Fluke caught on his family's GW 330 Express.
The Most Unusual catch in the Tournament went to John Drinkwater of Greenport, who hooked a pinecone on his family's GW 306 Bimini.
Once all the fish were accounted for, the tired anglers danced through the evening at the Tournament's award ceremony and party, which included a great goody bag, lots of lobster, and Captain's prizes.
"We love hosting the Grady White Owners' Tournament each year and seeing our customers get excited about fishing in our community," noted Will Lieblein, General Manager of Port of Egypt Marine in Southold, New York. "The Tournament allows Grady-White Boat owners the chance to show off their boats while earning bragging rights for the year. And we just have a huge blast giving away prizes and partying at the award ceremony every year."
